Books under the Christmas tree
The "Books Under the Christmas Tree 2025" campaign highlights the collaboration between the bookstore-gift shop and the publishing house of the musée du quai Branly, Jacques Chirac.
Four titles are featured, each opening a window onto rich and diverse cultural worlds:
AMAZÔNIA offers a view of the Amazon far from clichés, presenting it as a living ecosystem shaped by Indigenous peoples, blending heritage, contemporary challenges, and future visions.
ASIA takes readers on a vivid journey across the world's largest continent, its landscapes, cultures, wildlife, flora, and iconic figures, from Genghis Khan to BTS, illustrating traditions, history, and modern influences. (From age 10)
RÉSONANCES explores the sonic richness of the instruments displayed in the museum and sheds light on the relationship between sound, material, and culture through a clear and sensitive narrative.
SHEILA HICKS revisits the origins of the artist's work through the reissue of the first book ever dedicated to her, written by Monique Lévi-Strauss, echoing the exhibition The Traveller Thread.
Books to learn, to wander, and to slip under the Christmas tree!
All titles are available in French, and Amazônia and Résonances are also available in English.
