Description
At the age of 30, the author is looking for a meaning to his existence. He sets off down the Mississippi in a canoe, from its source in Minnesota to New Orleans. African-American, he goes to meet the inhabitants, along the 6,500 kilometers of the river, beyond social and racial prejudices.
