Established in the heart of Tokyo since 1984, NUNO is a unique workshop in the world of handmade textile creations, often by a single craftsman who creates the yardage from start to finish. Their materials are now part of the collections of MoMA and the Victoria & Albert Museum. They work with ancestral techniques and revisit others, using dyeing, recycling damaged fibers, shrinking, sometimes integrating other materials to their traditional fibers, like feathers or even aluminum. The book is composed of 7 thematic chapters and a glossary of their techniques.
