Mexico is intriguing. We only know a certain number of clichés, like the sombrero, the siesta, the narcos, the corruption, the guacamole, the tequila. We visit to admire the remains of mysterious civilizations. But do we know that puns are played all the time, that death is a fundamental element of life, that Aztec pyramids stand in the Mexico City metro, that pilón is a practice that aims to give a little more? Or that a war broke out in 1838 with France over pastries? Abel Quezada used to say "being Mexican is not a nationality, it's a vice".
