This catalog traces the acquisition policy of the museum started in 1998, before its inauguration in 2006, and thus presents its backstage. The stages preceding the exhibition of a work are explained just as the role of the curator for the purchase of a new object or for the constitution of knowledge related to the collections.
These are the questions addressed by the exhibition 20 Years of Collection Enrichment. Seen through the lens of a dozen curators and professionals in the museum world, interspersed with a selection of around 500 works, this exhibition retraces an acquisition policy for the first time and takes visitors behind the scenes.
