The Daruma is a figurine of Japanese folklore representing a bearded and mustached Buddhist monk. Without arms or legs, and rounded shape, they are usually found in Buddhist temples.
According to tradition, the owner of the Daruma will draw him with black ink a first eye while making his wish.
The Daruma must then be exposed in height in the house until the realization of the said wish. It is only after the realization of the latter that the owner will draw the second eye.
